WAZAMBA takes its name from a musical instrument, a type of sistrum used in West African rituals. Just as the deep, full sounds of percussion resonate during African initiation ceremonies, this mystical scent resonates with the intoxicating, resinous notes of myrrh, opoponax and incense.
WAZAMBA then takes us deep into the heart of the forests where initiates retreat on a journey of self-discovery… Cypress, highly regarded by the Arabs and thought to be the tree of interior alchemy, weaves its green, earthy notes into the scent. Sandalwood wraps it in creaminess, conjuring India where its smoke is thought to purify the spirit and enhance meditation.
